We have been experiencing true winter this year in the Houston area. I know that some people are laughing at that statement but that is how we feel in Texas. We had freezing rain last night and early this morning so we were treated to icicles when we woke up this morning. They were already melting when the sun came out but here are some on the creape myrtle.
I can hardly believe how another year has gone by quickly. On Monday January 24, 2014 the PV trailride made its annual trek through campus on its way to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. I have grown to expect a gloomy day when the trailride comes through campus and the weather did not disappoint. Here are a few pics.
Move over Magellan, I am ready for my trip to Portugal. Wishful thinking, I did not even make it out of Texas. We made a family trip to Blue Bell Creameries this past summer and had a great time.
Anyone following this blog knows that we have been attracting monarch butterflies for a few years. Well, today we witnessed nine monarch butterflies emerge. Wow!
