We are trying to revive our visits to parks around Texas so we recently went to the Jessie H. Jones Park and Nature Center. It is huge and a really nice park so we have to go back to explore some I entered areas. Here are a few pics.

Tennessee Trip
Making the trip to Tennessee is always awesome. In addition to the necessary stops to purchase gas, we made several scheduled stops on the 1,795.4 mile round trip for rest, relaxation and to learn a little more about the states we passed through (Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia). Texas Bluebonnets 2014
We went driving this past weekend and spent close to five hours in nature enjoying the Bluebonnets and Indian paintbrushes. Here is a short video and pics.
Freezing Rain
We have been experiencing true winter this year in the Houston area. I know that some people are laughing at that statement but that is how we feel in Texas. We had freezing rain last night and early this morning so we were treated to icicles when we woke up this morning. They were already melting when the sun came out but here are some on the creape myrtle.
PV Trailride 2014
I can hardly believe how another year has gone by quickly. On Monday January 24, 2014 the PV trailride made its annual trek through campus on its way to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. I have grown to expect a gloomy day when the trailride comes through campus and the weather did not disappoint. Here are a few pics.
